Opportunity for a post-doctoral fellow

 

Join the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative (MNAI) – one of Canadas leading organizations advancing nature-based solutions for climate action and local government service delivery – as a post-doctoral fellow.

If you graduated from a natural sciences-related PhD program within the last 5 years and have:

  • A demonstrated, expert-level knowledge of nature-based solutions and climate action
  • Superior policy-relevant research abilities and outstanding writing skills, including the ability to convey complex information to lay audiences as demonstrated not only by PhD completion but also writing engaging and impactful articles for range of audiences
  • The ability to work across disciplines and organizational silos
  • Practical local government, asset management or similar experience

And meet the criteria for a MITACS Elevate fellowship (www.mitacs.ca/en/programs/elevate/who-eligible/postdoctoral-fellows), then please consider applying your skills and experience with the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative to help us make natural asset management a mainstream practice across Canada. Specific areas of research and focus will relate to the development of norms, standards, academic programing and training for natural asset management.

The successful candidate would work with MNAI to submit an application to the MITACS Elevate program with MNAI acting as the industry partner.
